The Future Projects Voltage volunteer programme was set up in March 2010 to offer young people from the age of 16 to 25 the opportunity to become Young Radio Reporters in Norwich. The brief for the taster sessions was to attend and report on a music event from the Norfolk & Norwich Festival. For those that wanted to continue volunteering, Future Radio training was provided to skill the volunteers in subjects such as interview techniques, sound editing and basic radio presenting skills. The training all took place at the Future Radio studios in Norwich. The Associate Young Ambassedors then began promote and review music making opportunities for young people in the Norwich area. Two volunteers identified as Young Ambassedors received Future Projects bespoke Young Consultant training.

This part of the Future Radio website is where those audio and video reports can be found.

The Youth Music Voltage volunteering opportunity has enabled the participants to gain valuable multi media training and skills as well as the chance to improve communication and networking skills.
