Mike Stevens
Community Chest
Mike Stevens lives in Bowthorpe and presents Community Chest on Wednesdays.
His broadcasting experience ranges from Hospital Radios, Talking Newspapers and student TV. His professional background is varied ranging from working in the electronics industry to local government.
Mike’s lived in Norwich for nine years and enjoys learning about all aspects of local life. His hobbies include working backstage in a local drama group, seeing the county with Norfolk Ramblers, and trying to remain calm in the face of adversity. He enjoys travelling the world, whenever he can afford it, to meet people from other cultures and drink their beer.
His taste in music is ‘pretty varied’ and has been known to sneak in a few of his own personal favourites into his Wednesday playlist. He has absolutely no interest in sport of any kind as he sees no point in it. He will stare uncomprehendingly when anyone mentions Eastenders, Coronation Street or Big Brother.
Mike has worked with children and animals and is currently hoping to achieve world peace. He will interview anyone, or anything, that is warm and willing.
