Tim Crocker

Tim Crocker’s life is steeped within Norfolk folklore.

After pretending to attend the Hewett School Timothy worked at John the Butchers - then located next to Top Shop. He would regularly be spotted on Saturday mornings delivering half a hundredweight of sausage meat to the Walnut Tree Shades Public House.

Timothy however soon realised that the ladies frequenting the Sir Garnet Wolsey of Saturday lunchtime would not be throwing down their Barley Wine and slipping off there bar stool for a bloke who smelt overwhelmingly of goose fat.

Tim left the boundaries of the old City Wall and left the fine county of Norfolk to seek adventures in the new world.

South East Asia, Egypt, Australia, West Runton, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Reepham, Sri Lanka. Timothy even drove across America visiting some of the Cities he had listened to growing up as they were the homes of his favourite soul performers. From Detroit the home of Mowtown to New Orleans, Atlanta to the West Coast. Timothy’s senses were all soul-ed up.
Whenever he was overseas he religiously carried his favourite soul classics on his old faithful Sony Walkman. Though wherever the boy should wander Norwich would surely follow.

The Soul Cellar is Timothy’s collection of some of these soul anthems that have travelled with him in his rucksack to the four corners of the globe.

As one of Mowtown’s many legend’s, Marvin Gaye sang,
“Where ever you lay your hat that’s where you find Crocker’s collection.

Tim will be presenting the Soul Cellar bi-weekly with his first show on the 5th February.
