Hillbilly Hoedown

Alternate Sundays
'Presented by Hotrod Hector, playing a mixture of blazin' bluegrass, stompin' skiffle, red-hot rockabilly and rootin' tootin' hillbilly!'
Born at an early age to parents, Hotrod Hector (his real name) spent his formative years as a child. After leaving school, Hector took up a variety of jobs - Possum Carver, Wild Man, Hound Dog - before settling in Cumberland, home of the famous 'Gap'. For many years he lived quietly before the lure of the far-east proved too much and he re-located to the Norwich Rocky Mountains. After a brief stint in the Norfolk Mountain Rescue Service, he returned to his first love - standing in the middle of the road shouting at them new-fangled horseless carriages. Unfortunately, Hector was also fond of a glass or two of that good old mountain dew, and after one incident too many, he decided to clean up his act and find some meaning in his life.
Luckily, he chanced upon a local community radio station who, in a fit of much-regretted madness - were more than happy to stake their future, finances, reputations, and, in some cases, the very shirts from their backs, on Hotrod Hector's Hillbilly Hoedown.
Y'all won't let them down now, will you listener?
