Kev Laws
Born in Norwich, first taste of soul at the age of 13 at the Melody Rooms. Started collecting vinyl motown/soul along with knowledge, experienced numerous all-nighters - dayers across Great Britain with local venue Peoples for the in-crowd listening to Northern Soul.
Started dj at Flixton Rooms moving on to numerous venues along the east coast and across. Played soul music and a touch of reggae in clubs and pubs around Norwich along with fellow dee-jay Keith at JB’s and Iron Mongers Arms. On the regular line-up for Back Street / Only way is up Soul Club and had the privilege of a guest spot on a London radio station plus the 100 Club.
Started charity nights at The Talk which evolved into motown/soul nights with local dj’s.
Played a spot on the same billing as Jimmy Ruffin also the late great Edwin Starr and Rufus Thomas.
Currently on the line-up at Motown Legends Big Weekender in Prestatyn plus regular venues with fellow dj Steve playing modern soul and motown in Spalding every six weeks along with Peterborough, Bawsey and guest spot at King’s Lynn.

I am really into Modern Soul as this moment in time but still very much into all types of black music but, the music close to my heart is motown. I would very much like to share the experience with you so sit back and enjoy.
