In 2004 John Peel died leaving behind an enormous music collection that has been sitting in his studio untouched and gathering dust. until NOW. The John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Stowmarket and its Norwich project partner Eye Film & Television have been granted funding for the project and given exclusive access by the family to John Peel's record collection which includes 25,000PPs and 40,000 singles and 1,000s of CDs. The Arts Council will provide initial funding and the BBC will provide support and development advice. The idea is to digitally recreate John's home studio and record collection. Platform correspondent David Eastaugh catches up with Frank Penderghast of Eye Film & TV to ask him about the project and how he got involved.
