This show and all the music is dedicated to my friend Big Dave Hicketts aka Disco Dave who passed a week ago. A massive loss to all that knew him & the whole music scene in Norwich, Norfolk & pretty much anywhere else, for which he had a boundless enthusiasm.

Lightning Head - Afrosound 2001....Still unreleased, a corking new take on the afrobeat sound. Arguably one the UK's most talented, yet unheralded DJ/producers this track is lifted off his own Sound Sensation (Alternate Take) Mix CD. He gave us a copy when Big Dave & I met him at Bestival in 2006 and it never left the deck once it went on, becoming the afterhours soundtrack back at the Magik Feet Camp.

The CD is also unreleased to date though there was a download available somewhere on the web. Well worth the hunt for one of the best I have ever heard.

Mandrake - Berimbau

Had this latin stomper for quite a while, but it wasn't until I heard it drop at The Marvel that it's off-key rhythm changes came alive and smashed the floor. So many pukka nights there rockin' with Dave, always the first up & the last to leave!

Lou Rawls - You Make Me So Very Happy

Also on the 'Alternate Take' CD, it's the final track. Dave was beside himself when this dropped after and hour of beats and clocked it within the first bar. A fitting tribute to our dear departed friend.
