My dad being a major promoter within Norwich during the 60’s and 70’s must have helped somewhere along the line I’m sure, booking the likes of Hendrix, the Beatles, Cream and John Mayall Bluesbreakers to name but a mere few.

 

After leaving Norwich City College in ’04, I started out as the first producer at a new radio station only playing unsigned and independent artists on a 24/7 music stream. Then called Pulse Unsigned, the station quickly started to pick up some interest and started playing music from all aspects and performers from around the world.

 

To cut a very long story short, the station then changed its name to Pulse Rated and I started to work with some great presenters and other members of staff from every aspect of the station.

 

At this point I took the role of Commercial Producer for the station, producing all show features and station branding, as well as having 5 weekly Urban and Dance shows myself. The station started to really pick up some interest and we ended up being nominated for the Best Radio Station and Online Radio Website at the BT Digital Music Awards, narrowly missing out on both prizes.

 

Unfortunately for one reason or another, the station ceased transmission just over a year later, much to everyone’s surprise and disappointment.

 

Originally starting out as a bedroom DJ in 2000, I went back to the things I enjoyed most and focused on DJing, promoting and producing. Over the next couple of years, I started producing varied local musicians and artists, as well as picking up a couple of European dates for myself along the way and focused on the music I loved most.

 

I’ve since been back on radio for the last year and am now moving into producing my own material, so for now all I can say is to keep listening to the show and don’t be afraid to say hello!
