About me
I started to DJ 38 years ago on borrowed equipment, when I was 18. Having grown up through the explosion of popular music in the 60s and 70s my tastes have been very wide ranging and I still do occasional nights of new wave or folk. Norwich's venue campaign and early Waterfront days gave me chances to build up confidence in playing a variety of styles. It is in the last 10 years, however, that I have had more regular gigs around the city, mixing gentler styles with the less commercial side of funky house. My lengthy 'Beats Generation' residency at the Rose Tavern, and other bar room venues, has led me to concentrate on the more funk and soul based parts of 'dance' music. I also like to link the newer stuff with what it has evolved from over the last 4 decades. Email Kev
