We are pleased to announce the appearance of a very special guest on one of our forthcoming shows!
On Sunday 14th June, Alex James, celebrity cheesemaker and bassist with the recently reformed Blur, joins DJ78 (Dave Guttridge) on 'The Shellac Shake' to chat about music and pick some favourite tunes from the 78rpm era.
Dave met Alex when DJ-ing with his 78s in a London club and he has since travelled to rural Oxfordshire to perform at Alex's birthday party.
We're very pleased to report that Future Radio's 'Over the Wall' programme (recorded by prisoners at Norwich Prison Young Offenders Institute), was a finalist in Friday's Creative East Awards, which was held at the Theatre Royal in Norwich.
The first of a series of minor schedule changes will commence on Sunday 19th April with a revised afternoon running order, which sees a few regular shows move times...
Over the coming weeks you can expect to see a few new shows htting the airwaves, but the Sunday revisions will be the first, with a revised lineup as follows:
As you may have heard this week, we have just started playing a selection of public service announcements (PSAs) all based around the theme of media literacy - helping to promote a better understanding of some areas of the media and their use.
Over the coming weeks you'll be hearing trailers produced about the Digital Switchover, what Community Radio is about and also how to access digital media online, download podcasts and listen to radio online.
