Disability Awareness Day of White Ribbon Week
Wednesday 28th November 2012 is ‘Disability Awareness Day’ of White Ribbon Week. Domestic violence is a particular issue for disabled people. Many people find it hard to believe that disabled people can experience domestic violence. A disabled person may find it harder to protect themselves or to access sources of help. They may also rely on their abuser for support to live independently and fear losing their independence if they leave the relationship.

Police and Crime Commissioners - Norfolk
On Thursday 15 November 2012, for the first time ever, the public across England and Wales will elect a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) who will be accountable for how crime is tackled in their police force areas. Norfolk is one of those areas.

Future Radio: WIN The Broadcast & Press Award at The 2012 NORFOLK ARTS AWARDS!
The inaugural Norfolk Arts Awards in association with the EDP took place at Norwich Cathedral’s Hostry on Friday Night (26th October) The event, which marked the beginning of this year’s Hostry Festival, paid tribute to the rich seam of artistic talent in Norfolk and saw 12 prestigious awards presented.
Future Radio was nomimated for the Broadcast & Press Award alongside Rialto Magazine and BBC Voices and were announced winners!
Next Big Thing 2012 - FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
Future Radio’s Next Big Thing Final 2012 is happening on Saturday 10th November – at the OPEN Auditorium, Castle Meadow. Tickets will cost £5 and are already available from OPEN and the UEA Ticket Box Office.
The Next Big Thing is Future Radio's competition for new and emerging musical acts from the East of England.
