Big Red Boat

Big Red Boat are a six piece band (Jeff Long, Gail & Darren Spencer, Matt Down, Christian Garrod and Koorosh McKormack) who's original music is created by using strong guitar rhythms finely balanced between acoustic and electric, melodic vocal harmonies, a sea of mood giving bass lines, all punctuated by the roots influenced 'djembe' hand drum. All this linked with the life influenced, intelligent lyrics, the sound created by this likeable band are winning them applause across the region and beyond.

 

Since its inception 3 years ago, Big Red Boat released their self titled debut album in 2009. And for 2010 the long awaited EP, Brave The Dark was given its launch. Both Cd's earning them credit from musicians and audiences alike.

As well as pubs and bars, Big Red Boat have performed at events such as, Halesworth's Gig in the Park, The Reedham Riverside Beer Festival, Lockstock, K.Fest, and a handful of private events. And venues such as Ipswich Corn Exchange, Bungay's Fisher Theatre and The Arts Centre in Norwich.
