Hello Bear Win Next Big Thing 7!

In one of the closest run finals in the competitions' history, Hello Bear are the winners of Next Big Thing 7.

The 3 piece band from Norfolk won over a selection of judges from Drowned in Sound, BBC Introducing and former A&R reps from Sony and One Little Indian to take the title, and £1000 cash prize from the main sponsors Think Norfolk. They also win studio time at Leeders Farm, a professional photo shoot from JMA Photography, and 2 guitars courtesy of Coban Guitars. 

After a last minute venue change, 6 acts played in front of a sold out crowd at Norwich Arts Centre, with musical performances covering rock, folk, hip hop and electro-pop, making it one of the most varied finals in recent years. 

It was also the closest final since Future Radio took over the running of the competition, with only 4 points seperating the top 4 acts, highlighting the quality of many of the performances on the night.
