Next Big Thing Final

Hello all,

Gosh i'm exhausted this week. Partly I guess as I recover from being ill last Friday (that was pretty exhausting!!). But I think mostly because of all the work that's going into the Next Big Thing Final this Sunday. Everything else is a little on hold until after we get this event done!

Why so busy? Well, we are broadcasting the whole final LIVE on Future Radio for all those who can't make it to the LCR from 7pm. This is going to be our most adventurous live outside broadcast yet, and will feature the action from the stage, a backstage team featuring Simone Hayes and Alex Brickham, a roving mike which will pick up views from the crowd, and a studio team back at base of Hotrod Hector and Jo from Distortion.

On stage, I have the honour of giving all the bands introductions in my role of 'compere'. This is a new experience for me, but after the semi-finals and being on the stage at the B2, i'm pretty sure I will have a good time doing it. Just don't ask me to tell a joke on stage, I don't have any jokes. I merely have an idea on what's coming up on stage. Writing this has made me think suddenly I need to plan more for my on-stage 'routine'...

Ed Sheeran is also going to be playing a set on stage before handing over the 'crown' to the winner as decided by our judges on the night.
