Pongo Poetry, it's about time...

By Terry Lee - Posted on 16 June 2009

Sorry for the delay, here are some of Pongo's latest poetry offerings using the words of the days (the words are in CAPITALS and can all be seen on the twitter page, twitter.com/terryleefuture.

The meaning of the word today is not the one you tell us
A RANCOR is a Star Wars beast that lived in Jabba's palace
It used to eat the staff and guests when host became displeased
Until our hero Luke turned up - the beast is now deceased

TERGIVERSATION is the sorry act of jumping ship
Most people in the cabinet now think it's really hip
This tragic act of giving in is never seen in footy
Whatever the division our support is sacred duty

On Bondi beach the paparazzi hide
Inspecting celeb's thighs for cellulite
When such unsightly faults they do ESPY
The fickle tabloid editors decide
Whether to use the airbrush; nothing said
Or run a savage two page 'fatty' spread

If your future goal in life is gaining lots of status
With power, wealth and cleverness, enough to make you famous
On your CV the jobs might read director, boss and GRANDEE
But only if you can avoid the breakfast double brandy

Fine works Pongo, keep them a coming.

Cheers for now,
