Lovely Listeners Deserve Better Blogging

By Terry Lee - Posted on 22 January 2010

Hello all,

I’d say sorry for not blogging sooner, but I don’t think any of you would believe me, for my bloglessness has become more frequent. So instead I will say I am trying my best – it’s just not good enough when it comes to blogging. Bum.

Team Breakfast - This week I have been blown away by your interaction. Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts in the morning – it is exactly how the show is intended to work! There is usually no one with me in the studio, I am often a one man team, but with all of your contributions I feel like I’m part of a winning team. Winning in what? Well, credibility, radio honour, value for money… I’d say we were the perfect Breakfast team for the post Credit Crunch times.
My highlights this week in terms of interactions were:

• Eamonn calling in to inform me the clock on City Hall was stuck at ten past four – he had to look through some binoculars to see it!
• Tom the Artisan Baker responding to the news of the bread stall on the market closing down – Tom is a ‘baking God’ says Horsford Dave after visiting the bakery later that day. Good interacting Team!
• The development of ‘Death Bowls’ to spice up bowls for spectators – apparently bowls need to be rolled at head height, and aimed at an opponents head rather than a jack… I wonder if the BBC would show that on weekday afternoons??

I’ve also discovered that you guys have mixed views on poetry, largely hate the royals, and dislike Simon Cowell (well… I could have guessed that).

Have a good weekend all, I’ll speak to you on Monday. Keep up the good work!

Cheers now!
