The Friday Freestyle with Nay Daze Show Preview Fri 9th April 2010
Very excited about tonights show! With the odd exception its been a barren 3 months of quality dance releases. Probably facilitated by the (relative) ease with which producers can now get their tracks to the marketplace, theres no shortage of quanity out there particular in studio produced electronics but this in turn has led to a lack of quality control in my opinion.
With reduced overheads from just about everywhere, manufacturing, printing, distribution, as most labels switch to mp3 from physical product, theres more music available ( a good thing!) at a cheaper price. The down side of that is that the market is saturated with mediocrity. That little something special or indeed different, seems to be missing mostly. Would this be the case if production costs were higher like the used to and therefore labels go that extra distance to make a higher quality product?
Probably not. The reality is that theres as many decent tunes as there's ever been.. just more toot to weed out. Anyway I digress....TONIGHTS FRIDAY FREESTYLE:
