Links from my programme on the 13th May.
These are links to some of the items on last Wednesdays show:
Volunteer Spot
A wide variety of opportunities was on offer. Those wanting a ‘one off’ opportunity might like to try helping out at the Lord Mayor’s Street Possession on July 11th. The Campaign to Protect Rural England are organising a ‘Clean up Norfolk’ event between the 1st and 7th of June. Helpers are required for the ‘Wymondham Fun Day’ on the 5th July. This is a family day which is expected to attract 3000 people so helpers of all kinds will be required on the day.
For those looking for longer term commitments the Citizens Advice Bureau are looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles including Receptionists. Hungate Medieval Art is based in the city and volunteers are being sought to help out on Wednesday afternoons. You need to be able to help people with dexterity problems and give general support. An awareness of the needs of those with a disability will be an advantage.
To find out more about these opportunities and to hear about the many others on offer contact Will Mills on 01603 883848 or email william.mills@voluntarynorfolk.org.uk
