AMY TURNER'S THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE

By Mike Stevens - Posted on 18 July 2011

On 24th September at 12pm Amy will undertake the Three Peaks Challenge - this means climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (and travelling between the three) all within 24 hours. This is going to be a huge undertaking for Amy both physically and personally - lots of (uphill) walking, sleep deprivation, navigating Scafell in the dark, managing blood sugars etc.

She will  be doing an awful lot of training between now and the challenge including hill walking (not the easiest of past times in Norfolk) and long gym sessions. At least once a week Amy will be exploring Norfolk's countryside with a long training walk, and looking for volunteers to join her in this.....

Amy is doing this both as a personal challenge, and also to hopefully raise some money for two charities that are both very important to her  - Juvenile Diabetes Research Fellowship and The Prince's Trust. If you can spare some money to show your support Amy would be really grateful, of course you can also show your support by joining her on her walks as well.....!
