Emma Ferris - Running the London Marathon:

She's never been much of a runner, but Emma Ferris has decided to run the London Marathon in April for her father, Neil Ferris, who used to run marathons but is now in a wheelchair with multiple sclerosis.  Her friend Jordan is running with her and helping with training, with collegues at the Nelson Pub supporting her bid.  Emma and Jordan are running in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and they need to raise a minimum of £2,000 each before the marathon.

Mike Robbins - Local Author:

As a young man, in the late 1980s, Mike Robbins spent two years in Sudan working for VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas).  Years later, he wrote about his experience in a book entitled 'Even the Dead are Coming'.  Although he now works in New York, Mike's connection with Norwich is that he studied for an MA and PhD at UEA.  Leter this year he has another book due out, this time focusing on the topic of his PhD, carbon sequistration.  The new book will be called 'Cropping Carbon'.
