Show Minutes for 27/03/2012

Hi Peeps!

This week's meeting of The Tuesday Evening Club saw some changes, including some brand new features (and some of the old ones too). I hope you come to enjoy the new features, even if it is a love-hate relationship.

1. Apologies

I apologize for my 'rapping' on Laurence vs Adam. Adam apologizes for having to walk out of the studio during the show due to an impending coughing fit. It was like that time the Queen stormed out of a photo shoot.

2. Famous person rhyming slang

As part this week's agenda, I asked you to contribute to the dictionary of famous person rhyming slang. The example I gave was "Nick Clegg = Egg".

Here's a few of my favourites that you sent in:

• "Ruby Wax = Tax" - Scott
• "Grant Holt bit of a jolt" - Zak
  
• "i love laurence scott....not! Hehe" - Ross (I'm not famous but I let Ross have that one!)
  
• "How about Dawn French = Bench?" - Chris

3. My big life decision

My wisdom teeth are coming through! This has inspired a major life decision, that I raised at this week's meeting of The Tuesday Evening Club. I'm going to grow a grey beard, sit cross-legged and become a guru.

Laurence will now work towards becoming a guru. Adam will laugh at him.

4. Any other business

The scores on Laurence vs Adam - after this week's rapping challenge - are Adam 21 and Me 19. It was a draw, meaning that we got half a point each. As I mentioned earlier in these minutes, we started a few new features on this week's show. One of those was (the imaginatively named) 'Local band of the week'. Our first ever local band of the week was the excellent Girl in a Thunderbolt.
